How fast will I receive my designs?

Most mechanical design and CAD requests are delivered within 2 business days. Complex assemblies, plastic part development, or DFM-heavy projects may take longer, but you'll receive continuous progress updates every 24-48 hours until completion.

Do you design plastic parts for manufacturing?

Yes. Plastic parts are a core specialization. All plastic components are designed using injection mold best practices, including: Draft angles, and parting lines, uniform wall thicknesses, ribs, bosses, and snap-fits. Tooling feasibility and cost reduction. You don't just get a model. You get a mold-ready part.

How does onboarding work?

Subscribe to a plan and you'll receive access to your private ManyRequests project board within about one day. From there, you can submit CAD outsourcing requests immediately. Clear instruction and examples are provided, so there's no ramp-up delay.

How does the pause feature work?

We understand you may not have enough design work to fill up entire month. Perhaps you only have one or two design requests at the moment. That's where pausing your subscription comes in handy. Billing cycles are based on 31 day period. Let's say you sign up and use the service for 21 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you'll have 10 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future.

What CAD do you model in?

Minimum plan in Fusion360, Medium plan in Autodesk Inventor, Premium plan in NX CAD.

How does project development work?

Each request is treated as a project. Technical documentation development is included with all subscriptions and is handled as a standard engineering deliverable. Once the full project is complete, it will be delivered to your account, where you will own it outright.

Is PDM, versioning and data management included?

No. Managing and storing data, handling version control, or PDM tasks are not included in any plan by default. These services can be added upon request and will incur an additional fee.

How will I request designs?

TriCAD offers a ton of flexibility in how you request designs using Manyrequest. Some common ways clients request designs is directly via Manyrequest, sharing Google docs, sharing needed CAD data or picture or even a hand sketch. Basically, if it can be linked to or shared in Manyrequest, it's fair game.

What if I only have a single request?

That's fine. You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional design needs. There's no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste.

Are there any refunds?

Due to the high quality nature of the work, there will be no refunds issued past the first week of service. However, no refunds will be issued for completed work.
